a mud atrewn field, tho University
of Oregon football squad is en
deavoring to make ready for the
Oregon Aggie invasion Saturday.
The game is the outstanding
event of the eleventh annual
homecoming thiB week end, and
tho advanco sale of tickets indi
cates that fully 18,000 people will
see the game.
Probably several new faces will
appear in the Oregon lineup, aa
the coaches arc working on a com
bination to withstand the Beav
ers' attack.
With this in view Hurry Leavitt
veteran substitute but unknown
In varsity ranks, has been shifted
from prospective fullback to a
first string guard. Leavitt Is tak
log the place of Gene Shields, who
was Injured In practice Monday
afternoon.
Leavitt was given a try at
guard because of his fighting
qualities. Daz Williams, line
coach, declares Lcuvitt is a com
