fleet have reappeared off the
New York coast laden with holi
day drinks.
New tactics have been evolved
to meet any repltltlon of the
coast guard blockade of laBt sum

anchored there. The now flotilla
does not anchor; when coast
guard vessels make their appear
ance, the little armada takeB to
its heels until coast guard vessels
run out of fuel and have to go to
port for replenishment. Business
goes on during their absence.
Skippers returning from the sea
report that not only has the
group off New York grown to 14
in number, hut that four vessels
are hovering near Boston, and
others further south.
The first of the 13 one hundred
foot patrol boats under construc
tion for the coast guard at Day
City, Mich., Is on the way for ser
