of regular wardens is now in the
field. It Is' believed the expense
of the regular deputies can bo cur
. tailed to a great extent without
decreasing tho efficiency ot the
service. The co-operation of the
. wardens toward this end Is already
hearing fruit and It is believed
that from $500 to $1000 a month
can be saved.

cessful as in former years, espe

teen million eggs secured from the
two Santiam river racks this year,
exceed in; any former take by
three million eggs.
