Griffith. At the tea hour a num

at a business meeting held at the
home of Mrs. C. C. Chaffee on
Wednesday afternoon. Mrs, Cory
don Blodgott was named secretary
treasurer.
Following the business meeting
Mrs. Chaffee was hostess to the
group nt tea. Mrs. James Imlah
assisted. Roses and dahlias were
used on the tea table and about
the rooms. Mrs. Sarah Patrick
was a special guest.

mer recess.

sociation of University Women

house on north Cottage street to
morrow afternoon beginning at
two thirty In the afternoon. Fol
lowing the short business meet
ing will be a reception and tea
honoring Mrs. L. T. Merwin, pres
ident of the Portland branch, and
a group of Portland matrons who
head standing committees of the
Portland branch. The honor
guests will outline the accomp
lishments of their organization
and plana that have mado for ac
tivities during the coming year,
Mre. W. D. Clarke, head of the
social committee, le In charge of
the arrangements. Mrs. Martin
Fereshetian, chairman of the mu
sic committee, has arranged for
musical numbers.
At this meeting Mrs. George
Allien will announce her plans for
the concert by Paul Petri wnicn

November 20. Plans for the schol
arship loan tea on November 21
will also be divulged at this time.

Mrs. Clarence W. Green of Albany

Dr. and Mre. Lloyd Mott were
the guests recently of Dr. Mott'e
mother, Mre. William S. Mott. Dr.
Mott has set Ball for the Philip
pines and Mrs. Mott will leave on
Sunday for Honolulu. Dr. Mott Is
a physician on board one of the
government boats. Before enlist
ing In the government service the
doctor practiced near Yakima,
Washington.

home wedding was solemnized
Wednesday afternoon at 1:30
o'clock when Miss Gladys Sevcr
son, tho daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Hans Severson, was married to
Clarence Sebo, the 6on ot 0. K.
Sebo. The Ilev. S. Llndseth of St.
John's church, read the ring cer
emony. The Severson home on Church
street was beautifully decorated
cor the occasion, a profusion of
roses, asters, carnations and sweet
peas being used In shades ot pink
and white. The bride, gowned In
a tan going away costume came
In on the arm of her father while
Miss Sylvia Naa played the wed
ding march. She was met at the
Improvised altar between the liv
ing rooms, by Mr. Sebo. They
were unattended.
Following the ceremony a
luncheon was served at which
Mrs. D. Ingebretson presided. Im
mediately after the luncheon Mr.
and Mrs. Sebo left for a week's
wedding trip after which they
will be at home on the Sebo farm
In the Waldo hills.
Mr. Sebo Is a graduate of the
Oregon Agricultural college,
where he was a member ot the
Beta Theta PI fraternity.
