Anniversary
Meeting
The fourteenth anniversary of
the founding of chapter G of the
P. E. O. sisterhood will be cele
brated on Thursday at a one
o'clock luncheon at the home of
Mrs. I). J. Miles with Mrs, Wil
liam Hugheo, Mra. B. J. Huffman
and Mifa Alyc0 Holllster assisting
Mre. Miles as hostesses. Mra. Mlls
homo was the scene 14 years
ago of the organization meeting
of chanter G and each year the
event is observed . with a lunch
eon there.
Thursday's meeting will be th'
first one of the new club year.
Mre. D. X. Beechler, reelected
president last spring, will pre
side. Roll call responses will con
sist of "vacation echoes." Mrs. B.
J. Huffman, chairman of the pro
gram committee, will outline 'the
activities for the year. Mrs. F. W
fiolee will give a paper on greit
moral leaders.

turned yesterday from a visit of
almost four months with rolntives
and friends In New York state,

east. During her visit in Boston

ternational Unitarian convention.

guests at the country home of Mr.
and Mrs. Clyde Harris. Additional
guests at the Harris home on Sun

OF FUTURES TRADING

Members of the Chicago board of
trade will voto next Thursday on
a rules amendment to authorize
establishment of a now clearing
house method for trade in future,
contracts.
Secretary Jardine, in a letter to

warranted price fluctuation and
to eliminate over-fipeculatlve trad

5000 GASES BEER SEIZED

lice here yesterday In a building
purporting to house a rooming
house and garage. The bottles of
pre-war brew wore labelled "Nnpa

months. Captain Flegel joined
them three months ago. They
