abouts of Charles Merrill, 17-year-

schools, Is causing Mr. Merrill con
siderable worry and he has appeal
ed to Sheriff Hooker in an effort
to locate the boy.
Charles had been working at To
ledo until July 31 and had consid
erable money in his possession
when he left that place. He has
not been heard from since.
It is possible that the boy may
nave gone to California, accom
panying some nutolst as a com pan
ion as he had made some remark
previously to that effect. Tho fact
that he had about $200 with him
has caused his parents to become
uneasy as they fear he may have
been a victim of foul play.
