The Salem Senators won the In
terstate league championship yes
terday when they defeated the
huckenhuch Shin company nine on
the Oxfurd park diamond by u
ecore ot 7 to 4. Tho name was
one of the crabbiest yet played on
th0 local dUunond this year, the
visitors protesting vigorously on
nearly every decision.
"Speed" Carroll, manager of the
Luckenbach nine, became bo an

In the eighth Keene cazne lo bat.
Kankin called a strike which he
did not agree with and let hie but
fall to the ground. Haukin had
etood so much already that he put
Keene out of the game. Ashby
went In to bat for him and struck
out. Ashby went into right field
and Soleman covered the keyetone
sack. Carroll still continued to
rag the umpiro but was not put
out.

The locals started out early and

ning but they were tied in the
third by the visitors. Kecne, first
man up In the second inning, got

Portland league for next Sunday.
