Key, Carl D. Case was accused of
misconduct by Leland's wife. The
latter testified for her husband
in the dtyvce euit.
Dr. Case intervened to clear his
name and was given a vote ot con
fidence by his parishioners. The
divorce was granted by the appel
late court and appealed by Dr.
Case to the supreme court which
is now pending.
The statement attributed to
Hartig are not denied by him as
being mud-j during the divorce af

Rabat, July 18 (AP) The ar
rival of Marshal Petaln and the
news of forthcoming large rein
forcements have greatly heartened
the Fronch forces facing Abd-el
Krlm, Itlffian pretender to the
Moroccan sultanate.
Petaln, one of Prance's best
military organizers, arrived here by
airplane yesterday.
Ho will stay here tomorrow be
fore going to Fez, to the capture
of which city Abd-el-Krlm Is bend
ing his best efforts. Today- tho
marshal is being received by the
sultan, lie expects to remain in
Morocco for 15 days to make rec
ommendations as to the men and
mntorlal needed.
Abd-el-Krlm Is continuing his
propaganda. The Itlffian chief
hopes that by stirring up the
tribes to resistance he may be able
to roach Fez without having to uao

theory that the place was built by
ancestors of Pueblo Indians In

work of excavation goes on.
The city, wh'lch has been named
Pueblo Grande de ivevada, consists
of a series of ruins of ancient
habitations scattered over an area
of five or six miles in length and
a mile in width along the north
bank ot Muddy river, in the Moapa
valley,
"The conviction grows," ex
plained Dr.. Harrington, "that
Peublo Grande Is one ot the places
where Pueblo culuture had its
birth tho culturo of the people
who, at a later date, built hun
dreds of towns which we find In
ruins in New Mexico and Arizona.
