The Salem Senators baseball
team defeated the Htllsboro nine
on the Hlllsboro diamond yester
day afternoon In the interstate lea
gue series by a score of 10 to 4.
The locals were behind during the
first few Innings of the game but
the locals tightened up and over
came the lead.
HUIeboro scored one run In tho
first when C. Henderson got a
double against the fence on the
flrflt pitched ball, Cole went out.
Proctor to Keene, Henderson go
ing to third G. Henderson
drew Proctor out of balance at
first when Proctor tWew to tho
plate and both runners were safe.
HUIeboro also scored one run In
the second Inning. Burkhalter went
out, Bouton to Maples. Krelts got
a, home run over the left field
fence. Tuerck and C. Henderson
were easy victims.

In their half of the third. Proctor
first man up wan robbed of a hit
down the third base line and was
thrown out at first. Maples sing
led. Steers was hit by a pitched
ball for the second time, Mnplefl
being advanced to second. Keene
was safe on a fielders ciioice while
Cole threw Steers out at second.
Itinehart singled and Maples tallied

cals made one more run. Barr got
a pass to first. Edwards got a
walk and Coleman went In to run
for him. Barham sacrificed both
runners. Bouton sent a sacrifice
fly to left field and Barr scored.
One run In the sixth, seventh
and ninth made the scoring for
the locals. Keone got a walk In
tho sixth after two were out. Rlne-
hart got a hit, and Keene went to
third. Barr got a double and
Keene scored. In the seventh In
ning the locals made another tally,
when Proctor hit his second homer
over the left field fence.
In the eighth frame Keene hit
the ball Into deep right field. The
hall looked like It was going over
and Keene started to walk around
but the wind caught It arid brought
It down and O. Ienderson got the
mil off of the fence.
The Hlllsboro nine scored their
last run in their half of the eighth.

at second on Maples' error, Hen

grounds yesterday afternoon by a
score of 4 to 1. The game was
hard fought, with the victors ploy
ing better ball than they have for
the last few weeks.
Albany's baseball learn dropped
its second Interstate league game
of the -:ason and Its first game at
homeajen they lost to the Luck

4. The game was hard fought and
pretty even with the exception of
the sixth Inning when the ship-
ulldera scored six rune, largely on
errors. This made the shipbuilders
sixth straight victory.
