General inactivity continued to
characterize efforts to have the
community house opened at the
Salem auto camp grounds up to
and including today. Those in
charge of the house had various
easons to give, some stating that
there is too heavy a coat of oil on
he floor, or that more furniture
Is needed, although admitting that
nothing is being done to get more,
or that a change in plans had been
ffected whereby the order to have
benches made for the place had
been cancelled owing to a decision
to have the benches made by care
takers at the camp. Meanwhile the
$1400 house stands idle with door
locked, and has so stood since be

What If There Were No Banks?
Suppose that everyone hoarded their money and
there was no need for the existence of banks. What
would be the condition of our country? Chaotic, as you
will agree.
Happily, such a state of things does not exist. But
there is room for many more savers in this as well as
other communities. The more there are the more
prosperity there will be.
No matter how small an initial starts you are able to
make, the United States National invites your account.
