were adopted protesting the hold-
lug of a military tournament at I
O. A. C. on Memorial day. It was
also decided that all auxiliary!
members will meet at a basket din
ner at the armory at noon on
Memorial day.

patriotic talk.

will arrive tomorrow to spend the

William M. Coffin of Cincin
nati, Ohio, national commander
in chief of the Sons of Veterans,
was honored at a banquet at the
armory recently when the Sons
of Veterans auxiliary entertuined
for him. Covers were laid for
eighty five at long tables decorat
ed with red, whlto and blue flow
ers. A lively bouquet of white
roses centered the honor guest's
table.
Following the dinner the group
went to the chamber of commerce
auditorium where Mr. Coffin lec
tured on the text books uecd in
the schools of the country. Short
talks were made by U. G. Royer
on behalf of the state, by D. L.
McKay on behalf of the G. A. R..
C. E. Foster on behalf of the Sons
of Veterans, Norma Terwilliger
spoke for the auxiliary, and Julia
K. Webster spoke on behalf of
the Daughters of Veterans. Num
bers were given by the veterans'
quartet which Includes Mr. Ray
mond, Mr. McWhorter, Mr. Phes
senden and Rev. Stover.
