at -Salem high school, the final lap
in tha completion of that book
definitely got started today.
Those In charge ot the publica
tion are bending .very effort to
repeat the record made by the an
nual for the yeara past. Twice In
sucr.fsiou the Salem high school
book has won the cup offered by
Sigma Delta Cbl, national frater
nity at O. A. C. If the trophy Is
won again this year It will be
awarded permanently to Salem.
"We're out after that eup this
year harder than ever " said Cecil
Edwards, editor of the annual,
thhi morning. I think we can put
the stuff Into It, It we can only
get the money to pay for "it."
The annual will have 250 pages
and Malloy Imitation leather
stiff cover. It Is customary for
the Malloy company to make Its
own design, but one ot the high
school students, . Nathan Buell,
has made an original design which
will be used on the cover this
year.' "The design ts fully as good
as any they'd give us, and we'll
get more credit In the contest it
