LEAGUE IN POLK
Dallas, Or., April 7. A Po'k
county baseball league, which
will probably start the season with
six teams, was organised at a
meeting beld In Dallaa, Bupday.
K. J. Page of Dallas was elected
president .
The meeting was beld with rep
resentatives of Independence,
Monmouth. Vslsets. Falls City,
Grand Konde, Dallas and Amity
present. It Is probable that Gran-J
Konde will drop out of the organ
isation.
The playing season is scheduled
lo stsrl April 2 and run to Au
gust 2. Each team will poat ISO
forfeit to play tbe season out, an-i
xaines will be played each Sunday
throughout the season. Holidays
will be left open for outside
games. Bach team will pay its
own expenses and keep its own

The rules will limit each team
to one paid player. Schedules will
be worked out by Mr. Page In the
