nual district convention ot the
Kobekah lodges of Folk county is

president of the Keebkah assembly

present. Sessions will be held in
the afternoon at the I. O. O. V.
hall aud in the evening at the
Woodman hall. The afternoon
meeting will take up the work of
the order, with each lodge exem
plifying some part of it.
A program will be given at the
evening session with each lodge
contributing numbers. The Dal
las lodge will put on degree work.
Silverton, Or., March 20. The
Rcbekah district convention will
convene at Silverton on Saturday
vt this week. Twelve lodges will
be represented here at that time.
Tnese are Turner, Salem, Gervaie,
Woodburu, Aurora, Hubbard, Can
by. Monitor, Scotia Mills, Needy,
Uuttevllle and Silverton.
The session on Saturday after
noon will open at 1 o'clock at the
Odd Fellowe hall. At 6 o'clock a
dinner will be served by the
Christian church women at the
Christian church social rooms.
Saturday evening the session will
begin at 7:30 at the Eugene Field
auditorium. The degree work will
ba exemplified in the evening by
the past noble grand team of Sa
lem. Ms, Myrtle Moss, state pres
ident, of Lakeview, Oregon, will
also be present.

BRYAN WORTH MILLION

iam Jennings Bryan, three times
candidate for president of the

reached the age of 65 years, and
in connection with the celebration
of the commoner's birthday anni
versary. Judge C. H. Slama of
Wahoo, who has just returned
ftora Mr. Bryan's home at Miami,
P'la., said that shortly ufter Mr,
Bryan moved from Lincoln he
bought Miami real estate valued
at J35.00O which has now In
creased in value to a quarter of
a million dollars. Additional pur
chases, he said, had Increased the
Bryan estate to $1,000,000. "His
good fortune Is talked of on every
