Babe Ituth has very little to
how today for his arduous years
of tolling in the hlg league. This
was gleaned from a talk with Ruth
on the steps of the Yankee club
house at Crescent Lake park.

suit for divorce. It was alleged that at a breakfast, following a New
Year's Eve party. Whiting, with his wife present, told Richard Tompkin
son, his former friend, that be was In lore with Mrs. Tompklnson and
desired to marry her. Tompklnson Is said to bare permitted his wife
to secure her divorce, but Mrs. Whiting declares she will not tree her
husband to marry the other woman.

county line, to surface 4.8 miles
between the Curry county line and

facing between Denmark and

fork of the Coquille river on the
Coot Bay-Kosebutg highway near
