ICELAND FISH GROUNDS
Hull, Kng., Feb. 27. (By As
sociated Press. Eighty-four men
are believed to have been lost iu
the fierce gales which have swept
the Icelandic fishing grounds the
last four days.
Fourteen went down with the
Hull steam trawler Scapa Flow,
six Hull fishermen and twenty
four Icelanders were lost In the
fishery steamer Field Marshal
Robertson, and news has reached
here that the Icelandic steamer
Lelferhepar In lost vith forty
bands, all Icelanders.

early start In the war against
ground squirrel are well under
way In Polk county end through
the work cf A. N. Moore of the
United States biological survey
1500 pounds of poisoned grains has

the county available for use of the
farmers.
Mr. Moore urges that the work
