THE paisley crazt ia upon us ,
again. Many good shops ar
showing quantities of paisley yard-
ags ai wall as garment mad up
of thia material.
There are many exquisite shades
--deep brown with red and touches .
of blue, and a wee bit oi green.
Also, the blue and red, the Diacs
and red, and the brown and red
paisley combinations ar wonder
fully attractive.
Ths Jacquetta blouse illustrated
is rich brown and rsd paisley with
brown velvet trim, and is worn
with a brown velvet skirt.
The simplicity of thia type of
costume throws considerable re
sponsibility on the material, but
it Is a delight for the person mak
ing it because smartness may be
splendidly acquired with little sew
ing skill or effort.
The skirt is of two lengths of
material, paneled In the back to
conceal the seam. The blouse is .
straight shirtwaist type with
extension allowed for the double
breasted effect. A plain sleeve
pattern Is slashed up the center
and separated to obtain the full
ness evident in the bell shaped
all the preference for
poke, cloche, and over-the-right-eye-brim
effect, we find ourselves
roinsr around the circle to the semi-
tarn shape that crushes back off
the face and is finished with two
long pointed pins in the direct
front.
Some business men have very
8-
naive ideas of optimism. They
feel that they are boosting whan -'
they are only boosting prices. '
