THREE AGENCIES
TO INVESTIGATE
DEATH OF BECK
Oklahoma City, Okla., April 5.
Preparations wore made today
to launch three separate inquiries
Into the events surrounding the
death of Lieutenant Colonel Paul
Ward Beck, pioneer army aviator
and assistant commandant ol
Post field. Fort Bill, Okla., who
was killed by Jean P. Day, wealthy
oil operator and prominent Okla
homa attorney, in the latter-
home here early yesterday when,
according to Day, Beck was strug
gling with Mrs. Day.
A civil Investigation by county
authorities will determine charget
to be filed against Day.
A military commission of three
army officers beaded by Maioi
Thomas B. Lanthier, will comi
here Friday or Saturday, accord
ing to an announcement at Post
field, and Investigate the killing

the Inquest," the county attorney
said. "I do not know whethe

ness to the killing, will take thi
