the enlistment of a full company
Of newspapermen to spread news
of the arrangements for the re
union as they are made.
The publicity committee, head
ed by Major J. W. Sutphen, who
served with the 362nd infantry.
. is being enlarged by the addition
of a representative In each city
and village in the Ninth corps
area California, Montana, Ore
gon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada
and Utah. As special railroad rates
are obtained, distinguished guests
Invited, arrangements made for
regimental banquets and other en
tertainments In Los Angeles mem
bers of the committee will be bul
letined and they in turn will see
that the Information is spread
broadcast through their respect
ive communities.
In a short time recruiting com
mittees are to be named In each
community in the Ninth corps
area and through them re-enlist
ments in the Ninty first for the
duration of the reunion obtain
ed. Between 15,000 and 20,000
are expected to attend. Banquets
parades, elections, speeches, camp
fires and excursions are on the
program.
A moonlight picnic at Santa
Monica beach is on the list of en
tertalnment. Santa Monica is
where Mack Bennett's bathing
beauties frolic. And there are no
bathing machines there, as at the
French beaches.
