Mistland Flavor
Meets With Favor
After carrying on a series of

Mistland prune bread that has be
come a favorite with the public
from the first day the one pound
prune loaf was offered.
Through the suggestion of the
Oregon Growers Cooperative asso

began to experiment with the mak

with seven pounds of flour and
other Ingredients,
By this combination, the Cherry
City bakery found It could put out
a prune bread with the tart sweet
flavor of the Mistland prunes,
making a loaf that cuts fine and
one that will hold upfor three or
four days.
Just as an experiment, there was
baked (10 loaves the first day which
was sold to the local trade as a try
out. The next day the demand
was such that 110 loaves were bak
ed for the local trade for distribu
tion through the grocery stores, and
how the Mistland one pound prune
loaf promises to be one of the
most popular breads offered.
. Not only Salem, but the entire
territory covered by the Cherry
City bakery, extending as far south
as Klamath Falls, is now receiv
