Silverton Club
Elects Officers
Silverton, Or., Do. 17. At a re
cent meeting of the Silverton Com
munity club the following officers
were elected for tha ensuing year:
8. B. Richardson, president; Wm.
Zonel, secretary, and T. P. Rtstetg
en, treasurer. After the eltctlon
of officers the proposed new char
ter was Introduced and the dlffer
' ent sections read and discussed.
Another meeting will be held this
week when the work of reading
ond discussing the charter will be
continued.
Undergoes Operation.
Miss Lambgorn, matron at the
Silverton hospital, underwnt an
operation yesterday. This became
necessary as the result of a serious
attack of the flu last winter. She
has been In poor health most of the
time since.
G. A. Bock was a business visitor
In Salem the fore part of the week.
The Pythian Sisters will hold a
; Christmas tree and program in the
K. 1. hall Wednesday evening of
next week for the amusement of
the children.
Mrs. Settle Di al, wife of H. M.

Monday. She was 23 years old and

Mr. and Mrs. George Bather and
