Mr. Rasmiissen is a prominent
prune raiser and prune dryer, hav
ing erected one of the largest
prune dryers In the ;yntry last
year.

Third Stroke Is
Fatal To Polk
County Reident
Dallas, Dec. 7. Following the
third stroke of paiaiysls, Zenas
Hinshaw, A well known citizen
living in the northern part of the
county, died at his home Saturday
night. His age was 61 years. He
leaves a widow and one son, Jos
eph, and his mother, of Sheridan, j
He was a brother of Avery find I
Havila Hinshaw of McMinnville
and of A. N, Hinshaw of this city.

Dallas, Dec. 7. G. A. Peterson
of Suver has just returned ' from
Douglas county, where he purchas
ed 164 acres of improved land
equipped with modern buildings
and in the beautiful Looking Glass
valley, nine miles from Roseburg.
He expects to make his home
there after one more year in
Polk county. He says the scener
in Douglas county is great. Th

ucts' Co. completed a most success
ful season's work, all things con
