Krunre may become ,-ih dry .-in t lie Inked Suite, when French women pet the vote. Ma dame Maria Verone, president of the French Wufnun Suffrage On.,iiiiition and well-known lawyer, told i)ic International News Service today. "Certainly French women are out and out for the loohlbltlon of wliiHltey, brandy, cocktail and all tho heavier alcoholic drinks", aid Madame Verone. "They might tolerate wines ,md light beers, but even that Is doubtful." All the suffrage leaders In France are watching closely the manner in which the women of the I'ntted States acquit themselves in the I'resldential balloting, Madame Verone said. ' ' "We believe that giving the Presidential vote to wo men In America hns done much toward helping us to obtain our rights here in France," she mild. "The Chamber of iK'putles has voted in favor of woman suf frage, and i know of no reason why the Senate failed ir. ratify that action. One of our best-known Sena tors hill no reply to make except that women are made to love and be loved only.' Perhaps the real reason Is that many members of the Senate know they would lose Gervais Personals gervals. Or., Nov. 2t. 8. S. San derson, who arrived here with his family recently from Alberkik.
