Brown, after they had attempted to

Mr. Brown told police. Mr. Brown

that one of the basement windows had
been forced open.
Mr. and Mrs. Rav 1 Smith have re
turned' to Salem from a two weeks'
stay at Newport. On the return Jour
ney they stopped at Lebanon' to attend
the wedding of Mrs. Smith's brother,
Ralph H. Reeves, who was married to
Miss Catherine Kirk Patrick. Miss
Kirkpatrick is a graduate of the Uni
versity of Oregon, while Mr. Reeves t
a graduate of Willamette university.
