By catching a hold of the auto fender he was uninjured, al though thrown from the bicycle. Prof. C. I. Lewis, in charge of or ganization for the Oregon Growers Co-Operative Association, left Salem at four o'clock Friday evening for Yakima and Prosser, Wash., where he will spend several days conduct ing horticultural investigations for the association.
