Western Mexico Drained Of Sugar F(?r y Frisco Wants San Francisco The prevailing high high price of sugar In the United States is attracting sugar- in large quantities from western Mexico to San Francisco, according to Victor Patron, a former Mazatlan merchant now In business In Ban Francisco, who reports that several thousand bags have arrived here recently by steamer from the states of Suialoa, and Navarit. This Is the first time in several years that there has been sugar exported, to California, Patron said; Sinaloa has four refineries, two ot them owned by American Interests, while the Navarit refinery is controlled by Spanish capi tal, he said. Unfavorable weather conditions cut down an expected yield of 1,000,000 boxes of tomatoe in Sinaloa to quar ter that amount, according to Patron, but the tomato crop is still so much larger than that of last year that con siderable exportation to the Uniteo States is expected this year, he said.
