The matter of teachers salary in creases in Salem's public schools will be discussed at a special meeting of the school board called for tonight at eight o'clock in the high school. The alary question was taken up at the last regular meeting of the board a week ago, and it was decided to hold special session to consider this one phase of school problems alone. Half of the local detective force has been put on theocase, po lice authorities said. Drowned Woman Ended Own Life Is Jury's Verdict Astoria, Or., May 4. A coroner's jury sitting at Seaside over the body of Mrs. Ruth Anderson, found on the beach near Tillamook Head last Sun day, found a verdict lute yesterday that she had drowned herself. An autopsy, held provisionally, indicated drowning as the cause of death. Mrs. Anderson disappeared from her home in Port land last Friday, leaving a note indi cating that she intended taking her life.
