Myers Loses Hope 'Abandons Fight To Retain Old Job Washington, Mar. 13 Former Post master Frank Stott Myers, of Port land, who came to Washington a few days ago to seek reinstatement, Is supposed to have left the city dlsap- nnltiturl with the 1-eallltH of his mis sion. It appears he failed to make pro gress in that direction nnd out not call at the office of the senate post office committee, where he had writ ten to ask for a hearing nnd was in formed that he would be heard if he desired, although nothing is now pending before that committee with reference to the Portland postofflce. Intimations given by Myers were that upon his return to Oregon a cam paign against r'enomination of Sena tor Chumberlaln will be launched, possibly with Myers himself as can didate, Myers still retaining the theory that Senator Chamberlain could have restored him to his post office Job had he been so disposed.
