have been robbed by thieves at Har
rlsburg. About $25 in cash was taken

Rhinelander. Wis., Feb. 13. Mrs.
Stanley Blomski, mother of Alban
Blomski, six year old boy found dead
several weeks ago at the Blomski
farmhouse at Sugar Camp, has con
fessed to beating the boy with a
heavy poker and a razor strop, ac
cording to District Attorney A. J. Om
elia. Mrs. Blomski is said to have signed
an affidavit exonerating her husbund
of beating the boy.
Both Mrs. Blomski and her hus
band were held for trial following a
verdict by a coroner's jury, that the
boy's death was caused by beatings
and neglect at the hands of his parents.
Questioned regarding a broken arm
discovered by physicians who per
formed an autopsy, she is alleged to
have said that It was the result of one
of her beatings and that the member
had been broken and unattended for
nearly two months.
Asked why she had not supplied
the boy with shoes to withstand the
severe winter weather, she is said to
have replied: "He wanted to wear
shoes all summer so I punished him
by not giving him any in the winter."
The boy s feet, it was brought out
at the inquest had been frozen when
he was punished by being put out in
a shed in below zero weather and
made to stay there for some time.
