Thousands of Russian refugees are

nounce that the field will be conduct

Government patrols will also have ac
cess to the field. Landing sheds and
repair shops will be provided as the
station becomes recognized and aerial
traffic increases.
A Salem-Portland aerial service
may soon be Inaugurated by the Web
foot Aircraft company of Salem, ac
cording to announcement made by
Friday by R. O. Snelllng, president of
the company. The plane which made
successful commercial flights here
last summer may be put on the route.
The tentative plan Is dependent upon
the action of intra-state aircraft com
panies in listing Salem upon their
routing sheets. Should the larger com
panies deny Salem this service, the
local concern will assume the respon
