An act of congress approved July
11, 1919, provides for changing a
character of discharge issued to men
of the navy and coast guard since No
vember 11, 1918, to "honorable,"
where the record of the enlisted men
warrants such change, regardless of
whether or not he has been discharg
ed prior to the expiration of his en
listment. All men wishing such
change made should bring their cer
tificate of discharge to the Home ser
vice section in the post office build

re-issuance.
No serious results occurred yester
day evening when an automobile and
blcvclo collided at the intersection
of Court and High streets. The driv
er of the machine stopped immedi
ately and rendered assistance to the
bicycle rider, and the affair was .set
tled before any names could be ob
tained. Chief of Police Varney, howr
ever, said last night, that because of
the frequency of such minor acci
dents the laws governing the traffic
would be more than ever strictly en
forced, as warnings and admonitions
seem to have no effect upon the violators.

Declaring that rotation of crops in
Marion county should come as a step !
toward greater agricultural and hor-
'ticultural development, L. J. Chapln
of the Kings Products company, Mon
day told business men at the noon
day luncheon of the advantages
brought to the city by a dehydration
plant This plant, he asserted, makes
it possible to handle great quantities
of vegetables and farm products that
otherwise would be destroyed. In ro
tation of crops, he said, every other
year would assure such a plant suffi
cient produce to operate successful
ly. This brings to the city many de
sirable laborers, Mr. Chapin said, and
opens opportunity for greater indus
trial development In this line.
