By Daneli Atilano
Go! Magazine
PENDLETON — The city of Pendleton is rich
with history, and part of that story is brought to life
in the 1953 o lm <The Great Sioux Uprising.= The
movie, which was o lmed in Pendleton in 1952, will
be screened Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 6 p.m. for Terrio c
Tuesday at Heritage Station Museum, thanks to the
stories of museum board member Mary Jo Price.
While working at the Rivoli Theatre in Pendleton,
Price and other Rivoli staf members had frequent
interactions with the o lm9s lead star, Jef Chandler.
Price9s stories sparked inspiration for the museum
to feature the o lm as a Terrio c Tuesday event. Price
will be in attendance and has the honor of opening
the o lm.
