Submit entries via callforentry.org or visit josephy.org. The festival is Sept. 10-18. Artwork categories are sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and other (glass, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media, etc.). Accepted artists will be invited to participate in the festival’s quick draw and plein air painting events and provided with one complementary ticket to Friday night’s opening reception. A SALTY ART CONTEST RETURNS BAKER CITY — Whit Deschner has revived the Great Salt Lick art show and auction to happen Sept. 17 at Churchill School, 3451 Broadway St. Viewing be- gins at 5:30 p.m., and the auction starts at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to submit salt blocks that have been licked into artistic forms by livestock or wildlife. Enter blocks in advance — and get a replacement block — at Oregon Trail Livestock Supply in Baker City or Richland Feed and Seed. Closer to the contest, entries can go to Churchill School.
