BAKER CITY
Baker County Safe Commu-
nities Coalition will sponsor a
movie in Central Park, just east
of Resort Street in downtown
Baker City, on Thursday, July 7,
around 8:45 p.m.
This is in collaboration with
Baker Early Learning Center,
New Directions Northwest and
Summer Academy.

IRRIGON
The Irrigon Event Plaza, 420
Main St., is the place to be on
Tuesdays. The Irrigon Farmers
Market runs from 6-8:30 p.m.
After making purchases from
local vendors — including pro-
duce and baked goods — stick
around for Movies on the Plaza.
The free flicks start around sun-
La Grande Parks and Rec-
reation, along with the Union
County Safe Communities
Coalition, will sponsor three
movie nights at Pioneer Park
(Palmer Avenue, between Cedar
and Alder streets). Attendance is
free, and the film begins at dusk.
Be sure to bring lawn chairs or
blankets. Here’s the schedule:
• July 8: Sing 2
• July 29: Raya and the Lost
Dragon
• Aug. 19: Detective Pikachu
UMATILLA
As part of Umatilla Parks and
Recreation’s summer program-
ming, Movies in the Park is
offered on select Fridays. The
shows start at dusk at Umatilla
Marina & RV Park, 1710 Quincy
Ave. People are encouraged to
bring lawn chairs and snacks.
Free popcorn will be provided.
