Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Wallowa County Planning Commission on
Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 7:00 pm in the Thornton Conference Room, 1 st floor of the Wallowa County
Courthouse.
THOMPSON CUP#22-07 FINDINGS – Conditional Use Permit submitted by Georgene Thompson. The
request is for an Accessory Farm Dwelling in the Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) zone. The property is de-
scribed as Township 05 North, Range 43 East, Sections 11, 12, 13, and 14, Tax Lot 4400. It is more com-
monly known as 79666 Redmond Grade Lane, Enterprise, Oregon 97828 and consists of approximately
960 acres.
RURAL RESIDENTIAL AMD#22-03 – Proposed Amendment, AMD#22-03, requested by the Wallowa
County Planning Commission would allow Accessory Dwelling Units in the Rural Residential (R-1) Zone.
This request affects 362 total parcels encompassing 1,785 acres outside the cities of Wallowa, Enterprise,
and Joseph.
The August Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday the 30th.
These matters will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and all relevant WCLDO Articles, and
any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applica-
tions and draft staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Dept. Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am to
5:00 pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department – 101 S River
St. Room 105, Enterprise OR 97828 – by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Oral comments may be
given at the time of the hearing, which is open to the public. For persons with disabilities that wish to
attend, please call at least 24 hours before the meeting so accommodations may be made.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Admin-
istration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from
the Nez Perce Tribe to install a prefabricated outdoor restroom and
shower building in Joseph, Wallowa County, Oregon. Pursuant to the
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic
Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the
potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or his-
toric properties.
The 30’x30’ restroom building with six showers will be placed within
the barnyard area of a ranch owned by the Nez Perce Tribe. The proj-
ect will be located at 183834 Airport Lane, Joseph, Oregon. Ground
disturbance will be minimal, consisting only of site preparation (lev-
eling and concrete foundation) and 500 linear feet of underground
water/wastewater lines.
