Students will learn the fun- damentals of knitting from needle composition, yarn fiber content, basic steps and pattern reading. This class will also cover the basics of “sheep to shawl” (from cre- ation of yarn to finished proj- ect). Bring your favorite note- Wild School An outdoor class at Pete’s Pond for children to connect with nature and friends, create art using a variety of mediums and engage in science (na- tive plant identification, water quality monitoring, etc.). Each class begins with circle time to discuss the day’s activities and topic, then moves on to nature-based art and hands- on science activities. During the last 30 minutes of the class students can choose to journal, sculpt with clay, finish up their art or play a game based on the theme of the day.
