Scarlet Shetler, a 6-year-old Wallowa County girl, caught her
first fish at Wallowa Lake on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021. It was a
16½-inch rainbow trout she caught and reeled in all by herself.
With the help of her big brother, Swade, at left, her fishing
guide, the fish was netted, gutted and cooked for dinner.
