The fi reworks at Shake the Lake began promptly at 10 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021, with a display
that covered much of the lake just before the singing of the national anthem.
The Wallowa Independence Day Parade gets underway led by two vehicles from Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 4307 bearing the colors and gaining a respectful response from parade-
goers Sunday, July 4, 2021.

The band Shanks Pony, out of Walla Walla, Washington, put on a rousing musical performance
of very danceable, upbeat classic rock and other tunes from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021, at
the Wallowa County park prior to the Shake the Lake fi reworks.
