for Joseph, which had just
three wins on the mat and
fi nished seventh with 17
points.
Two of those victo-
ries came from Kale Fergu-
son. The sophomore, fresh
off a state championship on
the track a few weeks ago,
pinned both Huizer and Fent
at 182 pounds — needing just
43 seconds combined in the
two matches — to take sec-
ond behind Culver’s Nicolas
Navarro, who pinned him in
3:25 on the way to winning
the weight class.
Juston Rogers earned the
Eagles’ other win with a pin
of Crane’s Jesse Brown — in
17 seconds — at 138 pounds.
Rogers fi nished in fourth.
The biggest loss for
Joseph was of Jonah Stai-
41-27, then again at 43-29.
Enterprise had one fi nal
salvo, led by Gray, who fi n-
ished with a team-high 16
points. Gray hit a jumper to
trim the defi cit to 45-36 after
three quarters, then twice
scored on putbacks — the
second time with 4:38 to
play — to make it a fi ve-
point game at 45-40.

second time on a Maci Marr
steal and layup for a 26-19
edge with 3:15 in the third.
After Haley Brockamp’s
jumper for Wallowa, Kirk-
land hit two 3s — the sec-
ond when she rebound her
own miss, dribbled back out
and connected from deep —
for a 32-21 lead with 1:12 in
the third.
“We played well in the
third quarter,” Enterprise
head coach Mike Crawford

prise’s comeback hopes
with a wild up-and-under
layup, then a fastbreak layup
to push the lead back to nine,
and Fisher followed with a
bucket on the low post for a
51-40 lead with 2:36 to go.
Enterprise got no closer than
nine the rest of the way.
Gray, who had all Enter-
prise’s points in the fi nal
quarter, was joined in dou-
ble fi gures by Decker, who
scored 11 points and con-
nected on three 3-pointers.
Fisher added eight points
for Wallowa.

match at 220 pounds by fall

said. “We had good defense,
we fi nally got ourselves into
a spot where we were on the
ball defending well, and we
opened it up a little bit. (But
then) we fell right back into
standing around.”
The tables turned in the
fourth quarter. Kirkland’s
3 for the 11-point lead was
the last Enterprise points
for more than 8 minutes
while Wallowa not only got
back in the game, but pulled
ahead.
Libby Fisher’s corner 3
cut the defi cit to 32-26 with
6:10 to play. It was nearly
two minutes before Wallowa
scored again when Fisher
found Zoe Hermens for a
layup. Kyla Hook’s free
throw, Brockamp’s layup
and a Fisher free throw tied
the score with 1:31 left, and
Fisher scored again when
Hook snagged a steal and
found her for a layup and a
34-32 lead with 1:15 to play.
Enterprise’s
scoring
drought ended when Emily
Love turned baseline and
scored with 52 seconds on
the clock, and the teams
went to overtime tied at
34-34.
Kirkland opened the
overtime with a layup. Wal-
lowa responded on Her-
mens’ layup with 3:30 to
go, then took the lead when
Brockamp scored off the
glass with 1:59 to play.
Asiya Salim tied the score
for Enterprise, which set up
Gray for the winner.
Hook led Wallowa with
11 points, and both Brock-
amp and Fisher netted eight
points.
