Surveyors on the new
state highway have laid out
the route thru Enterprise
and are now working east,

now staked enters Enterprise

to two blocks east of the
court house square, where it
turns south and leaves town
around the rocky point.
A siren fi re alarm has been
shipped to Enterprise on trial
from Hillsboro. The signal
is an electric device which
gives out a shriek which, it
is promised, can be heard 10
miles. M.E. Ward’s, captain
of the fi re company, idea is
to have it installed and tried,
and he believes the city will
not let it be taken away then.
