Bennett Jan. 25, 1937 — Jan. 10, 2019 Robert D. Bennett was born January 25, 1937, in Elgin, Oregon to Clyde and Carrie Bennett. He passed away Janu- ary 10, 2019, at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bob graduated from Wallowa High School in 1956 and served in the Army National Guard for two years fol- lowed by two years in the United States Marine Corp. Bob married the love of his life Robert D. Bennett Karen on November 23, 1977. Bob and his brother Vernon owned and operated Ten-Neb Log- ging for many years. He was an active member of the Wal- lowa Church of Christ. He was a loving and generous man and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was always willing to help others in there time of need. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Genieva Eckly and his brother Ronald Bennett. He is sur- vived by his wife Karen, his children Sandy Bennett, Deb- bie Duran, Mike (Lori) Waters, Linda (Joe) Estes, Laurie (Rob) Jennings, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchil- dren and his brother Vernon (Glenda) Bennett. Services will be held Saturday Jan. 26 at the Wallowa Church of Christ. A potluck will follow please bring your favorite dish and stay and visit. Kenneth W. Zollman Dec. 19, 1922 — Jan. 16, 2019 Kenneth W. Zollman, 96, passed away Jan. 16, 2019, at Hospice of the Valley at Sherman Oaks in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born Dec. 19, 1922 in Enterprise, Ore- gon, the eighth child in a family of twelve to Floyd D. & Ethel (Eggleson) Zollman. Ken was raised in Enterprise, and Alder Slope. He played baseball, did wrestling and boxing in high school, and graduated from Enterprise in 1943. He served in the U. S. Army in the Army Engineers, receiving a medical discharge. He married Ella Evans (now Zollman) on Septem- ber 16, 1951 at Payette, Idaho. They were bless with four children. He owned the Community Market in Enterprise for a time. He left Enterprise in 1951 and went to Central Ore- gon. In 1954 he went to Eugene, Oregon, and later Veneta, Oregon, where he had a grocery store and meat market for many years. He was a meat cutter by trade. Ken lived there until 1991 when he moved to Peoria, Arizona. In his retirement years he was an avid golfer. Ken had 13 hole-in-ones, he was Arizona’s Senior Olympic Cham- pion in 1994. He enjoyed life, travel, lovely golf courses wherever he went, and his family. He is survived by his wife, Ella; children from a previ- ous marriage, children Phil Zollman, Gaye Zollman and Kim Zollman; many grandchildren and great-grandchil- dren; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Zollman (1953-1969), his parents and all eleven of his siblings. There will be no services, as his body was given to medical science.
