She passed away at her home surrounded by her family in Somers, Mont. Kari is preceded in death by her father, Richard Jeffers. She is survived by her husband, Todd Schrock; her mother, Sandee Jeffers; her brother, Kevin Jeffers; her three chil- dren, Kayla Schrock, Nathaniel Harding and Brenna Schrock; and her two grandchildren, William and Elsa Ayers. Kari loved her home and her family. She left a little piece of herself in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loving wife, a wonderful daughter, a caring sister, and a devoted mom and grandma. A small celebration of life will be held late this summer. Until we meet again. Claudia Mead Nov. 4, 1954 –– June 29, 2018 Claudia Elizabeth Mead passed from this life into the next at Wallowa Memorial Hospital, where she was also born to Claud and Francis Mead. Claudia grew up on a farm near Joseph with her parents and three siblings and lived much of her life in Wallowa County. She moved back to the county she’d loved after some years spent in Pendleton and Portland. During the course of her life, she worked in various kinds of manufacturing and construction jobs. She is preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Paul. Claudia is survived by her two sisters, Jeanie Warnock of College Place, Wash., and Rosemary Mead of Salem, Ore., sev- eral nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members, as well as many friends. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Abundant Life Church in Enterprise. Memorial donations may be given to Wallowa County Humane Society. Admission - $10 per person Must be 21 or older YE Edwin Wayne Lampkins, husband, father, grandfa- ther great grandfather and friend to many, passed away at 7:10 P.M. on 7/10/ 2018. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Edwin was born in room #9 in the Flora hotel on April 4th, 1924 And passed away in room # 9 at Wildflow- er Assisted Living in LaGrande Oregon. He was born to Buell and Ellen (Doran) Lampkins. At that time the hotel was being ran by Ed’s mothers side of the family the Dor- an’s. He had 2 brothers and a sister, Darrell and Georgie (Tucker) Lampkins and Jim and Virginia (Gake) Lampkins and Verna (Lampkins) and Carl Schmittle. He attended school in Flora Oregon and Graduated from Enterprise High School in Enterprise Oregon. On January 17 th , 1945 Edwin married Calista Verla Botts in Pendleton Oregon. They raised 3 children in Troy, Cove and Imbler Oregon. Marla (Lampkins) and Eldon Loftis, LeeAnn (Lampkins) and JimMcBath and Donald and Elma Jo (Pode Ashton) Lampkins. He worked for the Forest Service in Dufer Oregon and then moved to Troy where they ran the hotel for many years. Mom cooked and cleaned and fed all the hunters and fisherman that Edwin would guide and take on hunting and fishing trips. He also worked for the Forest Service in Troy. He was a logger, worked on a dairy farm in Cove, and raised mink on their mink ranch outside of Imbler. He has 5 grandchildren, Scott and Kelli (Loree) Loftis, Tina (McBath) and Anthony Anton and Dina Mc- Bath Brink and Krista (Lampkins) and Casey Copenhaver and Tara (Lampkins) and Bo Thompson. He also has 11 Great Grand Children, Cody, Holly and Ashley Brink, Brett and Byron Anton, Curtis, Colton and Casey Loftis, Bryleigh and Brynn Thompson and Madalyn Copenhaver, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Whenever Edwin was around you could count on hunting stories that made you laugh and fishing stories about who got the biggest one. Edwin loved working with wood as anyone can tell you anyone that has ever been in their house at least. He had a talent for seeing things in his mind and then going to the shop and making it come to life. His kids and his family are surrounded by things that dad, Uncle Ed and Grandpa Edwin made and we love them and will cherish them forever. Services pending in September in Enterprise Oregon.
