Ok Theatre owner Darrell
Brann is staging a reunion con-
cert with brother Craig Brann
at the OK Theatre on Friday,
June 15. The event is fourth of
the Countdown to Centennial
fundraisers held for the the-
ater’s refurbishment.
Craig Brann is a highly
respected jazz studio musician
in New York City who makes
occasional forays to Wallowa
County to visit his brother’s
family and perform music.
The duo last performed at
a popular 2015 concert at the
Rim Rock Inn north of Enter-
prise. The show focused on
blues and some roots music,
but the OK concert will reach
further afield and give listen-
ers a glimpse of the brothers’
respective musical journeys.
Brann said it’s possible
that several music guests will
appear to perform as well.
“We’ll probably create an
arc to our musical journey as
brothers,” Brann said. “The
idea is that we’ll be doing some
talking about our upbringing

for those who aren’t aware of
it, and what led us to where
we’re at.”
The brothers will first play
together as a duo with songs
they learned from their father
then on to songs they devel-
oped on their own.
“Craig will play jazz, and
I’ll play whatever I come up
with,” Brann said with a laugh.
Following that, the brothers
will play with guests, possi-
bly including Meredith Brann,
Brann’s daughter.

OBITUARIES
Walter Joe Williams
Dec. 10, 1939 –– Nov. 10, 2017
Walter Joe Williams was
born in Pomeroy, Wash., to
Jasper Royal and Gladys Ber-
tha (Olsen) Williams. He was a
long-time resident of Enterprise.
Walter had a machine shop
and one of the first foundries in
the area. He used die-casting,
lost wax casting, sand-casting
and injection molding methods.
He was a machinist and
a mechanic, builder, wood-
worker, welder and inventor.
He loved to restore old cars and Williams
tractors. He had his own saw-
mill that he and his son Royal built.
He used some of his lumber to build his cabin and also cut lumber
for others. He was always willing to help anyone on their projects.
Walter is preceded in death by his partner, Bonnie Beachy;
two sisters, Bonnie and Norma Jean; and a nephew, Robbie.
Walter’s survivors include a brother David Williams, daugh-
ter Juanita (Jim) Misner, son Royal Williams, two step-sons Rod
and Roger Foster, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren,
two nieces Carolyn and Melissa and nephew Victor.
A memorial service will be held at Abundant Life Assembly,
206 NE 1st St., Enterprise 3 p.m. July 7. The Rev. Micah Agnew
will be the officiant.
DEATH NOTICES
Dennis Tyler
Dennis Tyler, 75, of Enterprise, died June 4 at Wallowa
Memorial Hospital. A memorial service is planned for the end of
June. A full obituary will be published closer to the time. Bollman
Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
Lewis Britton

pital June 2. A memorial service is planned in July at Promise,
Ore. A full obituary will appear later. Bollman Funeral Home
entrusted with arrangements.
CORRECTION
A quote in last week’s sports story regarding the successes of
the Wallowa High School Trap Shooting Team. “We have some
kids who were not very athletic, and we finally found a niche
for them where the kids are doing fantastic,” should have been
attributed to club coach Scott West. The Chieftain regrets the error.
