Regular season ended with Imbler, Grant Union matchups By Steve Tool Wallowa County Chieftain The Lady Outlaws played good basketball against Imbler, spreading their 40 points across nearly the entire roster. However, the Outlaws still shot poorly, just shy of 30 percent from the floor. Karli Bedard led the scoring with 10, while Shelby Moncrief stacked eight into the basket and senior Riley Gray contributed six coins to the fountain. Poor floor shooting and negligible free throw con- version led to the Outlaws defeat at the hands of the Grant Union Prospectors. The Outlaws dropped down to 27 percent shooting from the floor and failed to con- vert a single one of six three-pointers attempted. Riley Gray led the scoring with eight points and not a single player scored more than half her amount. Three players had four points each. The girls finished the season 14-5 overall and 5-3 in league play with a 13th place ranking in the state. The Lady Outlaws next play Elgin at La Grande on Friday, Feb. 16, in a Wapiti League District contest. The Enterprise Boys Basketball team finished the season with a victory over Imbler Feb. 9, 60-31, and a loss to Grant Union Feb. 10, 41-60. The boys finished 7-12 overall and 3-5 in league play.
