home canned entry is selected the best in the catego-
ry.

A panel of judges will select the top two entries in Fruits,
Vegetables, Pickles, and Soft Spreads. Entries must
be preserved in Ball® Jars and sealed with Ball® Lids
and Bands specially designed for home canning, or
preserved in Kerr™ Jars sealed with Kerr™ Lids and
Bands specially designed for home canning. In addi-
tion, entries in the soft spread category must be pre-
pared using Ball® Pectin: Classic, Low or No-Sugar, or
Liquid. Proof of pectin purchase in the form of a receipt
or product UPC must be submitted with entry.
Entries from each category honored with the First Place
award will receive:
• Two (2) Five-Dollar ($5) Coupons for Ball® or Kerr™ Fresh
Preserving Products and
• One (1) Free (up to $6 value) Coupon for Ball® Pectin

award will receive:

GUIDELINES FOR ALL CLASSES. Please read carefully.
1. Exhibits entered from 8 am - Noon, Mon. Aug 7th at
Cloverleaf Hall. Exhibits released Saturday, Aug.
12th, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
2. All entries must have been completed by the exhibitor
within two years of opening date of Fair. No entry will
be accepted that has previously been exhibited in the
Textile & Needlework Division.
3. Exhibits must be properly cleaned and completely fin-
ished.
4. One entry per class. Three or more identical entries in
“Any Other” class will be judged as a separate class.
5. Exhibits consisting of more than one piece must be
securely fastened together.
6. Pictures must be framed and ready to hang. Plaques
and Wall Hangings must be provided with a secure
means for hanging. DO NOT MOUNT OTHER ARTI-
CLES. Bring your own hanger for garments.
7. Articles will be judged on workmanship, suitability of
article to purpose, beauty and originality of design, and
harmony of color and materials.
