NOTICE OF ELECTION
Notice is hereby fiven of an election to be held for purposes of
determininf whether or not a proposed irrifation district by the
name of "Wallowa Lake Irrifation District" shall be orfanized
under Orefon's Irrifation District Law, and for the purpose of
electinf an initial board of directors.
The boundaries of the proposed irrifation district are set out in
an Order for the Election on the Formation of an Irrifation
District on file with the Wallowa County Clerk. Said boundaries
are incorporated herein by reference.
The date of the election is July 24, 2017. Electors within the
proposed irrifation district will be required to cast ballots which
contain the words "Irrifation District - Yes" and "Irrifation
District - No". Ballots will be mailed to each elector within the
proposed district.
Five (5) seats on the board of directors shall also be voted
upon at the election. The proposed district will be divided into
five (5) votinf divisions for purposes of electinf directors to the
board of directors. The boundaries of each votinf division are
set out in an Order for the Election on the Formation of an
Irrifation District on file with the Wallowa County Clerk. Said
boundaries are incorporated herein by reference. Electors
within each votinf division will be required to cast a ballot in
favor of a candidate nominated for the board of directors.
Ballots will be mailed to each elector within each votinf
division. The latest date on which petitions for nomination of
candidates for election to the board of directors may be filed is
June 19, 2017. Nominations for candidates must comply with
the provisions of ORS 545.041.
Any person desirinf to review the boundaries of the proposed
district or any votinf division may inspect the same at the office
of the Wallowa County Clerk.

meetinf will take place on the 20th day of June, 2017 at
9:00am. The purpose of the meetinf is to adjust certain fund
approvals that exceed the threshold the Board of Commis-
sioners can authorize prior to adoption and to receive public
comment.
