Classic in Pendleton on
Thursday, while the Wallowa
Valley Cubbies softball team
competed at the Pilot Rock
tournament ,coming away with
a 1-3 record after two games
each on Friday and Saturday.
Buck Track Classic
Both the Joseph Eagles and
Enterprise Eagles competed at
the classic on March 23 against
24 other schools, some that
were larger than both schools
together.
Eagles coach John Roberts
was pleased with his team’s
performance.
“We did good on our run-
ning and stuff. A couple of fi eld
events did pretty good. We’ve
got a young squad on the boys
side they ran events worth
checking around on. Cayden
Delury’s doing real well, got
fourth place in the 300 hurdles
on his fi rst try. He hasn’t run
them since eighth grade, so he’s
a little rusty,” Roberts said with
a laugh.
He also lauded the perfor-
mances of Haley Miller in the
800 meters and Isabelle Tin-
gelstad in the 3000 meters with
third and fi rst place fi nishes
respectively.
The next Eagles meet is
at the Carnival of Speed at
Milton-Freewater on Friday,
April 7.
