Wallowa County Chieftain Entertainment/Community wallowa.com Symphony concert features mystery, moods and emotions Wallowa County Chieftain The Grande Ronde Symphony will present ”Magic, Mystery, and Majesty” as the theme of its fall concert, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in McKenzie Theater in Loso Hall on the EOU campus. The concert will be repeated at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Baker High School’s auditorium in Baker City. Zeke Fetrow will conduct as music by Beethoven, Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Wagner explore mystery, moods and emotion. Continuing a new tradition begun last year, a pre-con- cert event will be held at Ten Depot Street Restaurant at 5:30 pm before the La Grande concert. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from Zeke Fetrow about the musical offerings of the evening’s concert program while enjoying a no-host bar and light hors d’oeuvres. Tickets to the concerts cost $12 at the door for adults or $8 for seniors. College students get in for $2 and stu- dents 8th-12th grade get in for $1. Under 8th grade get in free.
