April 28-30 Walter Brennan Days: The Josephy Center will honor long- time Wallowa County rancher and Hollywood actor Walter Brennan with a three-day celebration. It kicks off with a showing of “The Westerners” at 7 p.m. Thurs- day. On Friday night Brennan biographer Carl Rollyson will talk about Brennan and his recently published biography. 7 p.m. at the Josephy Center. At 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, La Grande actor Kevin Cahill will portray Brennan in a one-man play constructed by Rol- lyson from interviews and writings. Tickets are $5 at the door. Tuesday, May 3 The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation will sponsor its second annual meeting of the Men’s Guild 100 at 5:30 p.m. at Wallowa Memorial Hospital’s main conference room. The meeting will include presentations regarding the state of our health care and hospital from hospital administrator Larry Davy, and a slider bar with all the ixings. The Men’s Guild 100 is a group of men from all walks of life who come to- gether once a year to donate $100 to a speciic project designed to improve and expand health care services in Wallowa County.
