The Nursing Care Coordinator super-
vises the Nursing staff and the care
provided to the residents/clients.
• Assumes the duties of a staff nurse
when he/she is the only nurse on
the shift.
• Responsible, in collaboration with
the Administrator, for the training,
evaluating, counseling, firing and
hiring of nursing staff.
• Provides daily oversight of resident’s
medication management, and
physical care needs with follow-up,
as needed, to ensure the highest
quality of care.
• Plans and implements educational
and case management activities as
appropriate with a specific focus on
medication and physical health
issues, working closely with the Ad-
ministrator, Psychiatrists, Psycholo-
gists, MSWs and the case managers.
This position requires a valid Oregon
Registered Nurse License, a Bachelor
of Science Degree in nursing pre-
ferred and at least 1 year of Nursing
Management experience. Additional
education or experience in Nursing
Management, Psychiatric Mental
Health Nursing, Social work, psychol-
ogy, or other related fields is a plus.
